Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions about our latest technology.
Yes, our panel is resistant to all kinds of weather conditions as it is exclusively designed considering the environmental conditions where it will be used.
Since our panels are adhered to by using a high-tech adhesion system, they do not delaminate in any weather conditions.
Lumelegna panels are delivered in raw form to the end-user; however, they will not get affected by any weather conditions if the end-user uses a good double-component varnish according to the conditions of the place where the panel applied. We provide you the support you require about the properties and types of the varnish which can be applied.
In order to eliminate the one-way deflection of the polymer-based frame panel, a good static calculation and professional assembly are required. If you want to use polymers as a frame material in such cases, the thickness of the frame panel would be increased and the dimensions of the panel to be used would be reduced. If the product is requested in the same dimensions and the same thickness, we replace the frame panel with glass or glass derivatives.
Our panels are delivered in raw form so that each designer, architect, or professional can use different varnish shades or apply a different varnish.
When it is desired to provide a brand new look to solid wood products, a clean surface can be achieved when sanded repeatedly using sandpapers with high abrasiveness since there might be cracks and deflections. Since problems such as deflection and cracking problems will not be encountered in Lumelegna products, very fine sandpapers (200 grit and above) or various chemicals can be used for surface cleaning. Therefore, the surface of the wood does not lose its thickness and you do not experience the issue of reaching the bottom while cleaning it. It is suitable for conducting maintenance over and over again. You can get the appearance and the feeling of its first day after maintenance.
In hot climates, we use glass or glass derivatives as a frame material. Since polymer frame materials are thermoplastic, they begin to deform at certain temperatures, which might cause delamination. Our panels made of glass and glass derivatives suffer no delamination up to 70°C. The hottest place in the world is the El Azizia region in Tripoli (Libya), and the temperature does not exceed 57°C even there.

Our products are warranted for 5 years.
Our products can be bent after being veneered, thanks to the flexibility and adhesion quality of the natural wood veneer. The angle of bend can vary depending on the type and thickness of the veneer, and the properties and thickness of the frame material.
It can be formed as much as the wood can tolerate except for extreme forms. In our recent attempts, we were able to achieve a bend up to the radius of r3.
No, our products are produced following European standards, and none of our products contain solvents. The volatile organic compound (VOC) value of our products is well below the average values, and they are even food-safe.
Yes, our panel can be cut by laser; moreover, the front wooden part of the panel can be burned with the laser to engrave a design, logo, and brand mark.
Yes, our panel can be CNC machined, the backside of the panel, which is polymer, can be engraved.
Yes, our polymer-based panels can conduct electricity up to the thickness of 10 mm, so you can charge your phones or other electronical devices from behind the panel.
Yes, our glass and glass-derivative panels can be produced up to the fire rating of A1 class.
No, our products are produced according to the European standards, and none of our products contains solvents. The volatile organic compound (VOC) value of our products is well below the average values, and they are even food-safe.
Our lead time for custom samples is 45 days while it is about 60 days for mass production.
